Bryan Bautista, Honduras
Description
Located in the small village of Musula, Honduras, lies Finca Adolfo. It is there that third-generation coffee farmer, Bryan Adolfo Bautista, produced this washed-processed coffee with lovely fruit aromas, notes of pear and warm spices, yellow apple acidity, and a juicy body.
After inheriting part of his father’s coffee farm, Bryan faced various challenges, but instead of giving up, he leaned in. He began working with experts to explore microlot production, shifting focus from a conventional coffee farm to an entirely specialty one. From this shift, he went on to obtain the Honduran Five-Star Cupping Certification, which allowed him to begin experimenting and perfecting different processing techniques. Bryan's mindfulness to cultivate his farm extends as he intentionally sets aside land to serve as a natural reserve for him and his family to care for.
As Bryan thinks of the future, with the birth of his first child this year, he finds new motivation to continue the work he has already begun, to expand and to strengthen Finca Adolfo’s reputation for producing high-quality coffee from Honduras.
