The Ladies' Lot, Uganda
Description
The Ladies’ Lot is a coffee rooted in care - care for the land, for quality, and for the women whose work has long sustained coffee farming in eastern Uganda. Grown near Mount Elgon and fully washed with intention, this organic Arabica is as thoughtful as it is expressive.
Across the global coffee industry, women have always been essential, often responsible for planting, harvesting, and sorting, yet historically left with fewer opportunities for leadership, ownership, and financial security. The Ladies’ Lot exists as a response to that imbalance. One of our newest coffee partners, Mountain Harvest, is being especially intentional about creating pathways for women through training, leadership development, and equitable access to resources, ensuring their contributions are not only recognized but rewarded. When women are supported, the impact reaches far beyond the farm by strengthening families, communities, and the future of coffee itself.
This lot is meticulously sorted and processed, highlighting the clarity and balance that careful hands bring to every step. In the cup, you’ll find soft florals, black tea, and caramel sweetness, layered with notes of Earl Grey and lavender. It’s elegant while remaining approachable - comforting, steady, and quietly confident.
We love this coffee because it reflects something we deeply believe in: when people are supported, respected, and given room to grow, the results ripple outward. This is a coffee shaped by women, carried by the community, and offered as a small but meaningful invitation to slow down, sip, and hang around with something that matters.
