Growing at elevations up to 1800 meters, the Sejahtera Tani farmer group consists of about 20 families. This coffee is honey-processed, whereby the skin of the cherry is removed and seeds are allowed to dry with the fruit pulp still attached. As the coffee dries, the fruit turns into a sticky “honey” that imparts lovely fruit sweetness.
For best results, we recommend waiting 7 days from the roast date to begin brewing. This resting period will allow the coffee to 'open up' and present flavors reminiscent of apple, prickly pear and honeycomb.
We roast on Monday and Tuesday and ship USPS priority. Orders placed after Tuesday will be filled immediately if we have the coffee on hand. Otherwise, your order will be roasted & shipped the following week.
