Colombia, Palestina Pink Bourbon
The bourbon coffee variety originates from Bourbon Island (present day Réunion Island) off the coast of Madagascar. In the late 1800s, coffee plants from the island were smuggled to Brazil under the name "bourbon," and cultivation of the variety expanded across Latin America. Pink bourbon is relatively unique to producers in Huila, Colombia, and is achieved by cross-pollinating Red and Yellow Bourbon varieties. The unique qualities of these sub-varieties combine to offer fantastic acidity and sweetness reminiscent of the best Ethiopian heirloom varieties. Be prepared for a totally new flavor experience with this coffee.
