Asefa Dukamo quotes from the Dao de Jing -- "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." As a boy, Asefa's first steps were along the narrow paths between trees on his parents' coffee farm. As a young man, his steps into business involved recruiting investors to build a washing station near his parent's home. In 2006, he and his brother, Mulugeta, took their first steps into building Daye Bensa Coffee. Today they have over 16 washing stations and 4 dry mills across the Sidama region of Ethiopia. But the journey isn't over; using his experience in coffee and business, Asefa now mentors young people, guiding their first steps down the path of entrepreneurship.
